These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Life mobile application ("Life", "the app") developed and operated by Proposition BV ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Life, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of the service

Life is a mobile application that helps (future) parents manage their journey from child wish through pregnancy to early parenthood. The app provides planning tools, personalised content, shared to-do lists, a calendar, baby name exploration, childcare search, developmental timelines, and informational resources.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use Life. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years old.

4. Account registration

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.

5. Acceptable use

When using Life, you agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the app or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality.
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates third-party rights.
• Use automated tools to scrape, collect, or extract data from the app.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.

6. User content

You retain ownership of all content you create within Life (to-do items, diary entries, calendar events, baby profiles, etc.). By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your linked partner.

We do not monitor, review, or use your content for any purpose other than delivering the app's functionality.

7. Partner sharing

Life allows you to invite a partner to share your household data (to-do lists, calendar events, baby profiles, planner progress). By inviting a partner, you consent to sharing this data with them. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content with your partner.

If you remove a partner from your household, shared data remains in the household. We do not mediate disputes between partners regarding shared data.

8. Medical disclaimer

Life is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The content in the app (pregnancy information, developmental milestones, wellness tips, vaccination reminders) is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult your doctor, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions about your health or your child's health. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of information you read in Life.

9. Intellectual property

The Life app, including its design, code, content, trademarks, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of Proposition BV. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our prior written consent.

10. Availability and updates

We strive to keep Life available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
• Update, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion.
• Require you to update the app to continue using it.

11. Pricing

Life is currently free to download and use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will clearly communicate pricing and obtain your consent before charging. Existing free features will remain available.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian and EU law:

• Life is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
• Our total liability for any claim related to Life shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Proposition BV, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the app.

14. Termination

You may stop using Life at any time by deleting the app and your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, subject to reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections 6 (User content ownership), 8 (Medical disclaimer), 9 (Intellectual property), 12 (Limitation of liability), and 13 (Indemnification) survive termination.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Life after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Life shall be submitted to the courts of Antwerp, Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in your country of residence.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
