This Privacy Policy explains how Proposition BV ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of the Life mobile application ("Life", "the app"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian data protection law.

2. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data when you use Life:
- Account information: email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
- Profile data: language preference, pregnancy due date, situation (e.g. child wish, pregnant, parent), and baby profile information (name, date of birth, sex).
- App usage data: to-do items, calendar events, planner progress, baby name preferences, diary entries, and timeline progress you create within the app.
- Partner & household data: partner invitation status, shared household identifier for syncing data between partners.
- Device information: push notification token, device platform (iOS/Android), and app version for delivering notifications.
We do not collect location data, contacts, photos (unless you explicitly upload them), browsing history, or financial information.
3. Special categories of data
Some data you provide (such as pregnancy status and due date) may be considered health-related data under GDPR. We process this data based on your explicit consent, which you provide when entering this information in the app. You can delete this data at any time from your profile.
4. How we use your data
We use your personal data exclusively to:
- Provide the core app functionality (personalised content, shared to-do lists, calendar, timelines, babyplanner).
- Send you relevant push notifications (task reminders, milestone alerts, wellness tips) based on your pregnancy week or baby's age.
- Sync data between you and your partner within your shared household.
- Improve the app experience and fix technical issues.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data processing and storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore database, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging). Firebase services are hosted within the European Union (europe-west1). Google acts as a data processor on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement that complies with GDPR.
We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) except as necessary for Firebase infrastructure, which is covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and GDPR compliance framework.
6. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all associated personal data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. total user counts) may be retained for statistical purposes.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction: request that we limit processing of your data.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

8. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Firebase Security Rules that restrict data access to authenticated users and their own household.
- Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure.
- Principle of least privilege for team access to production data.
9. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: authentication, database, cloud functions, push notifications.
- Expo / React Native: app delivery and over-the-air updates (no personal data shared).
We do not integrate any advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media SDKs.
10. Children's privacy
Life is intended for adults (parents and parents-to-be). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. The baby profile data entered by parents (name, date of birth) is controlled by the parent's account and subject to the same protections.
11. Cookies
The Life mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (livelife.app) is a static site that does not use cookies or tracking technologies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
13. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority:
